If the Skipper of the vessel deems the weather or sea state unsuitable for your booked sail you will be notified via email between 24 hours and 4 hours prior to your departure time. You will be given the choice of rescheduling, a Rain Check to book for another sailing or a refund of the sailing cost less 5% booking fee. Rainchecks must be used within twelve months of issue.
If you need to cancel your sailing please email bookings@julieburgess.org. Cancellation of a booking must be made at least 48 hours prior to the departure time to obtain a refund or raincheck. Please note that the refund does not include the 5% booking fee.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the departure time are not subject to refund unless a medical certificate is provided for yourself or someone in your care.
Passengers who fail to attend their booking without notification forfeit the full cost of their tickets.
Tickets are transferable at no extra cost provided Julie Burgess Inc. is notified of the name change via email to bookings@julieburgess.org 48 hours in advance.
Passengers exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, sore throat, cough, sneezing or shortness of breath) may not be allowed to board without medical notification that symptoms are not COVID related (e.g COVID negative test, letter from doctor). Please see clause 3 for cancellation policy.
Every reasonable effort will be made to adhere to the advertised route and timetable but this may be altered at the discretion of Julie Burgess Inc. and/or the Skipper
You must be at the Julie Burgess at Reg Hope Park, Tarleton Street East Devonport, ready to board 15-20 minutes prior to departure time. The crew will not wait for latecomers.
There is a public car park at the Mersey Yacht Club at the northern end of Reg Hope Park, alternatively you can park on the western side of Tarleton Street.
Please dress for all weather and be aware that weather can change during a sailing. Soft soled, enclosed footwear must be worn
Passengers will need to use the companionway to access toilets below deck. Companionways are climbed similar to a step ladder. Fully accessible public toilets are also located in the carpark 100 metres to the north of Reg Hope Park. Please note there are no disabled access toilets on board the vessel.
Smoking is not permitted on board the vessel.
With the exception of licensed Julie Burgess Inc. events/sailings alcohol is not permitted to be consumed on board.
Refreshments are welcome on board. Please dispose of rubbish responsibly. No glass containers are to be brought aboard.
Julie Burgess Inc. will take no responsibility for lost or damaged property.
All passengers travel on board at their own risk.
The minimum age for passengers on board the vessel is 8 years.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
In the event of an emergency, passengers must follow all instructions of the crew.
The Skipper/Master of the vessel has the right to refuse any passenger deemed unfit to travel.
Gift Vouchers must be redeemed by the expiry date on the Voucher. No exceptions.
Gift Vouchers can be transferred to another person but cannot be refunded. Julie Burgess Inc. must be notified of the name change.
