Motor from the mooring toward Bass Strait, hoist the sails and experience the workings of this historic vessel.

Sail with us around the Bluff toward the mouth of the Don River. Magnificent photo opportunities.

The ship will leave its berth in Devonport giving passengers the opportunity to view the redevelopment of the port to accommodate the new Spirit of Tasmania ferries. We will then proceed on a leisurely loop out into Bass Strait.

Bring your own favourite wine or beer to sip on as you enjoy the view of our magnificent coastline and towering mountains. On the return trip enjoy the twilight settling over Devonport and, depending on sailing schedule, watch the Spirit of Tasmania as it departs for its next crossing to Geelong.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve while enjoying a cruise aboard Devonport’s own tall ship the “Julie Burgess”. We will motor from the jetty toward the mouth of the Mersey and, weather permitting, venture out into the Bass Strait where we will have a bird’s eye view of the fireworks

Bring your own favourite nibbles and wine or beer to sip on as you watch the fireworks bringing in the new year.

Departing from our berth in East Devonport at 8.30 pm for a 2 hr cruise. Magnificent photo opportunities.

Explore Tasmania’s picturesque coastline from the deck of Devonport’s own historic tall ship the Julie Burgess.

The ship will leave its berth in Devonport giving passengers the opportunity to view the redevelopment of the port to accommodate the new Spirit of Tasmania ferries. We will then proceed along the coast towards Port Sorell where you will have the opportunity to see the coast from a new perspective and, if we’re lucky, some of Bass Strait’s range of sea and bird life. Upon arrival, and subject to weather conditions we will explore this picturesque and historic harbour while enjoying a light lunch. On both the outward and return journey you will be served with morning and afternoon tea.
